of AMSAT projects
AMSAT projects have great potential to develop new or more junior agency
talent, through the opportunity to work on novel projects or ones of
a scale not available in their routine work in Australia. Senior and
highly experienced staff may also welcome the opportunities that AMSAT
projects provide as they consider their personnel development pathways.
In providing these opportunities, AMSAT becomes a valuable tool to
assist agencies in their talent retention and diversity efforts.
AMSAT assumes all the risks and costs of bidding for, and involvement
in, its international project work. Before proceeding with any submission
however, we consult widely with our members to determine interest in,
and a commitment to, that particular project. For agencies which contribute
resources directly to a project, AMSAT provides a guaranteed return
on those project inputs, determined by discussions between the organisations.
