Potensi Laut

Potensi Laut project (Potential from the sea) was designed as an evolution of a project conducted between 2003 and 2006 by the Australia's Department of Environment and Heritage using funds from AusAID under the then Government Sector Linkages Program i.e. the Alternative Livelihoods project (GSLP-AL). The project was implemented in three stages by the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies at the Australian National University (RSPAS/ANU) in association with Australian Marine Science and Technology Ltd (AMSAT).

The project is designed for coastal communities of Rote Island and Kupang Bay with a main goal: To increase and diversify fishing family income
